China Tighter Restrictions

It seems that everything else in the world is easy to access via the internet which is ironic for the people of China because the internet users in the country will now experience stricter laws. There is now a new law that will legalize the deletion of pages that would require personal information such as name or address to service providers. Chinese authorities has always been notorious for monitoring internet use. They are known for blocking sensitive content and protecting politics when an embarrassing news story comes up. They also monitor and censor what people can say online, taking away most of what stands true for freedom of speech.

Today, one in five users of the internet are Chinese. This amounts to about 500 million users. They spend almost the same amount as Americans do, but for a different reason. Whereas Americans use a lot of Social Media sites, Chinese use it for search engines and instant messaging.
